What is the difference between a K Hornet, a KE Hornet and a Niedner Hornet? Is one "better" than the others?

    5mmgunguy,

The K-Hornet is obviously the Kilbourn Hornet.

The KE-Hornet is also known as the Short Hornet:
.22 KE Hornet (from .22 Hornet case)
    .22 Hornet Short
    (5,7 x 35,4 R)

The Niedner version is improved with a 25 degree shoulder.

    Best.

    ADDED:

    5mmgunguy,

I forgot the second part of your post...

I prefer the K-Hornet with the 40 degree shoulder because that's the reamer I have and it works great. But the reality is that any of the 'improved' shoulders will work better than the original design, the 40 degree is just a pinch more efficient.

    Best.
