1894 winchester 5 barrel set

today,while browsing cabelas gun library,i see they have the only five barrel set known to exist for sale.they are the ones from renneberg's new book on page 8.what a beautiful set of guns

Yes it is... I have had the good fortune to have my hands on that set several times at the Cody WACA gun show. Clint & his wife had owned it for quite sometime, and they were looking to sell it. I wonder what Cabela's paid them for it.

Clint was asking a mere $175,000 for it last June at the Cody WACA show... that is a fairly steep increase (mark-up) in the past 8-months!

We now have finally put to rest with photos the question and arguments that the shell carrier had to be replaced if barrel was changed to a different Caliber. Bert was 100% correct.

In the last issue of The Winchester Collector (Newsletter of the Winchester Arms Collector's Assn) he - Clint Coligan - had them offered for sale for $195,000. I didn't take'm then either.[:D]
