Mis-firing Mossberg 472 PCA .30-30

This gun belongs to a friend of mine. I haven't looked at it yet, but I thought I'd throw this on here see if anybody else has had this problem, and what it took to fix it. At this point I'm not even sure it s a problem with the gun. Maybe he just has an amunition issue. When he got it out to sight it in for the season it wouldn't fire. He said the pin is making an indentation in the primer, but he is not sure if its as deep as it should be.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

First thing to do Quickest/Cheapest/Most Likely to fix problem . Get some new Ammo . second step Clean the gun Especially If he has ever sprayed it with WD40 when he put it away. Some gun oils + WD40 +time will turn into glue[V][:(!][:(] Fireing pin may be sticking in the bolt. needs to be free.

+1 Perry Shooter! I have a Remington I am working on right now that I took apart and it is full of yellow hardened oil residue, not good for moving parts.
