I'd like to know the value, how many were produced etc. I have a remington 760 in 222,it's the ADL, has the five diamond with sling swivels factory drilled etc. the gun is in 95% condition. if there are any 760 experts i'd like your thoughts.

thank you,
Scott

Welcome to the forum...a couple of pictures would really help. But an off the top of the head answer would be $1200 to $1600. You might check on the forum side to see what something like this may have sold for in the past. Current market help greatly.

Wow, Scot that is a Weaver V-8 scope mounted on your rifle. They were ahead of their time in about 1962-67. I have three of them. Ed

I don't know the exact numbers but they are very rare in the .222 it took me 5 years of looking to find mine I paid 1o00 for mine 3 years ago I do know they were only made 1958 to 1960 and was harder to find then my .223 which cost me 800.00 and a 760 in 35 rem for trade

    Scott,

Welcome to the forums here on Gunbroker.

I cant tell you any great reference books, but can tell you that that is one nice looking rifle you have there. Doesn't look like it was used up like many of the rest of them I have seen from that era. That is sure one to be proud of.

In the past year I sold one that was not the 5 diamond for $1400.
I would say @1500. minimum in this area. Other areas may be different.
Best reference i found is Remington Autoloading and Pump Action Rifles, by Eugene Myszkowski.
While yours is tough to find, it is not the rarest. The 760 Carbine in 35 Remington is the rarest, only 456 made.
