Hello Leo welcome. Far and away the best way to improve any 1911 type platform is to have a pistolsmith do the work with quality parts. If you have mecanical background and can understand the interaction between all parts of a PISTOL fire control systems and you buy quality parts you MAY improve the trigger pull and if you buy a match grade barrel that needs to be fitted to your pistol you may be able to shoot better groups . This along with installing better sights will let you see the relationship of the front to rear sight better . IT is not rocket science but the reason a quality pistol smith charges what they do is it is a skill that takes years to get good at. ONE note of caution changeing the sear and hammer may lead to an unsafe condition unless you fit a new safety to the gun. Quality parts gan be had from Brownell's, Fusion Firearms, MIDWAY , amoung others. good luck.
