Rem. mod 8 value?

I inheireted a Rem Mod.8 in .35 Rem from my late grandfather... the gun is fairly nice, maybe 75-80% cond. any idea what it may be worth?? am not looking to sell, just a ballpark price..

    My opinion....You ought to be able to get $200 to $350 for it, depending on what part of the country you're in. I looked and you are in a part of the country that seems to like the old Remington Autoloaders, so go more towards the higher value. For insurance purposes go with the higher value. These things have been going up a little bit in value lately.

    My book shows $250-$550. good to excellent. I would still think it would go higher unless they started flooding the market. Start high if you want to sell it. You can't come back and get that money for it once it's gone, or if it's lost in a fire either. I would say if it is fairly nice it would rate better than 75-80% too.

    thanks for your input guys... and yes, it may be a little higher in condition, maybe 85%.. but am not interested in selling it, just gonna pass it on down.. you know what i mean
