Does anyone have any comments on this scope? It says on the literature for pistols and shotguns. How about a muzzleloader?

If it can handle the smack from a 12ga Slug gun, it can shrug off the push from a Muzzleloader.

I haven't been much of a red dot fan. I like a little magnification. A red dot would be ok on a pistol, but a Muzzleloader such as these modern rifles are 200yd guns. A red dot just doesn't suffice.

For the money you are planning to putting into that red dot, you could get a somewhat decent 3-9x40 riflescope. Cabela's Pine Ridge looks like a promising scope. I think you'd be better suited with a riflescope.

Good luck, let us know what you chose.

In Wis. you cannot use magnification, but they are talking about changing that. Id wait if I knew that for a fact or knew how to check on it. I tried two peep sights, but it didnt work out well for me. I paid more for the peeps than some Red Dots, and now they are obsolete.
