Question is if its ok for accuracy and safety to use a taper crimp wiht a bullet with no chanlure? I am loading up the Hornady 230 GR HP-XTP which has a smooth straight copper jacket. Thanks [8D]

Hello I have loaded and tested in Ransom Rest 1000's of rounds of 45ACP with smooth sides and used a Taper crimp the beauty of taper crimp is cse lenght is not critical. Just take the case mouth down to .469 This will be one or two thousands passed flush, Don"t over do it or you will deform the bullet . "PRAISE THE HARD-BALL GUN"
