Opinions On Auto-Ordnance .45?

1911 style .45s are not cheap. Kahr took over Auto-Ordnace which had a reputation for producing, well, not the best .45. Kahr claims they have redesigned it and it is a good .45. I have seen them sell for between $450 and $500. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this pistol or should I pass?

I'd recommend saving your pennies for a bit more and step up in quality to a Kimber or SA.
I've heard some very good things about the Dan Wesson, but don't have any first hand experience with the DW 1911. They sure made some nice revolvers, though.

I did wear the ejector out on it one time and had to replace it but that is like any other gun, you shoot any gun enough times and you will have to rplace something.
I carry my AO all the time.
