Dunno about that brand but the device is made yet. Value? Dunno. A few bucks. Probably not more than $10. It IS metal most new ones are (I think) plastic.

I bought one from Herter's about 50 years ago.
It has a bar across the open end to maintain correct dimensions.
Use it frequently, it still works.
Value shouldn't be more than a couple of bucks, IMHO.

Probably made by the same outfit that markets a similar product to size legal/illegal clams here in the Pismo Beach area. [:D]

    Bobski,
Mine came in an RCBS Combo kit, though, as you know, it was manufactured by McKillen & Heyer, Inc. and not actually by RCBS. Kind of like the little tools that L.E. Wilson makes (or used to) for RCBS.
Mine has a "Plug Guage Protector", a simple bar that's friction fit across the open end to protect against the "legs" getting bent closer to each other and thus throwing off the dimensions.
A handy little guage for checking quantities of brass for excess length.
If you're interested I can send a picture of the protector bar. RCBS could confirm if they're still included in any of their kits and if M&H is still in business.

I also have one of those gauges. I think I bought it new about 30 years ago.

30 years old is about right. I had mine at least that long.
