Need Help - ID and Value - Civil War Gun

I ran across this gun this weekend and the seller is ready to move. I guess it is an old Colt 1860 maybe. This one seems to have a collectable value as it has on the cylinder - 4th Ala Calvary. It also has a Capt's name engraved on the barrel. He is listed in the historical books as being a Captain in the 4th Alabama Calvary.
I can email photos but look at these several pics. I will in turn sell it only here on GB auctions as a buy it now if I get any reasonable interest.
Serial number is in the 68,000 range and all the numbers match that I have seen (3 or 4 different locations) Also it has 4 screws on one side.
The gun appears to be in real good condition and the wire seen in the photo was used to hold gun in place on a display box. Also have a Calvary Sword with metal sheath.
Thanks for looking.

However, the bottom picture doesn't seem to be the same revolver as it doesn't have a fluted cylinder. Can you please explain?
Edit 1,"AI" in the square box is the Italian coded proof date. It is 1982.
Sorry for the mix up.
Here is the Colt's which also has the PN on it.
