Those pistols are very rate and this country and not many people have seen one...But of course I have [;)]. These were only imported for a couple of years back in 1992-94 and there were two agencies handling the pistols in teh USA: Specialty Shooters Supply and Rodgers Ltd. International; both long out of business. The Spitfire was all stainless steel guns that looked pretty much like a CZ-75. There were supposed to be a variety of calibers but as far as I know the only pistols imported into the USA were in 9mm Parabellum. Retail prices started out at nearly $2000 USD (which is outrageous) when they were first imported and ended up at around $1300 (which is ridiculous) when importation was discontinued. The biggest problem with the Spitfire was that, while nice looking, it was not really a dazzling looking handgun and it's price was simply too much for the typical American shooter to swallow. At teh time you could buy a 9mm Swiss made Sphinx for the same or less money and it was a much better stainless copy of the CZ.

    From the web:

Yeah, that's a stainless steel clone of the CZ-75 (pre-B) with extended beavertail and ambidextrous safety.

    Mark has the rest.

    Nice pistol for $600. [;)]

$2000 in '92 would buy you a Sig P210, or a handmade custom 1911 of your choice.
