Remington 12ga semi-auto?

I was given a 12 auto. On the gun all it reads is, Manufatured by Remington with a Browning Pat. 1898. There is no Model #. Can somone tell me what I have?

    I believe the very early production Remington semi-autos, that were made in the first decade of the 20th Century, were unmarked. They later were marked/known as the Model 11. Perhaps this is what your shotgun is?
