Glenfield model 60 ??

I have one that I am working on for a friend. It will not load the next round. If you work the bolt super fast it will sometimes but when shooting or just loading the first bullet it will kick it to the side and won't load in the barrel. I have put a bolt in from another gun and it does the same thing.Is it something with the load ramp or is this just a cheap gun?????

It needs to be cleaned. Good guns when properly maintained.

Bent feed lips on the mag? Loose screw that holds the part holding the magazine in or excessive crud on the bolt face?

I cleaned the gun and then put the other bolt in.

Marlin has been making that model forever.Mine is fussy about what I shoot in it.Mine likes bullets that are plated like Remington Golden bullets or CCI Mini Mags.Also make sure your magazine tube is not dented and clean.Also make sure the magazine spring is not weak or damaged.A company does not make something forever if it does not work.Marlin has sold millions of them.

Try cleaning around the feed tube and lips real well, the oil and gun powder gets gunked up in this area sticks to the round and casues feeding problems.

I have 4 of them and all were given to me, very good cleaning should do it.

Had one, shot a million rounds thru it. everybody else is rught after about every 2 bricks of ammo mine would require cleaning especially around the feed ramp and chamber

Sounds like it needs a serious cleaning.Take it apart and blast all the parts with carburator cleaner and compressed air.Use a dental pick to scrape the crud out of the tiny nooks and crannys.Should work fine.
