I HAVE AN EARLY NORICO M14 THAT WAS IN THE PRIOR OWNERS SAFE FOR 15yrs.this is a real 'SAFE QUEEN' FOLKS !!!!!...It has no reciever marking at all, except for an electropenciled ser # on the left rear.I know a few of these exist, but do they have any extra value because the reciever is unmarked ?????...opionions please....thanking you in advance !!!

No extra value for an otherwise unmarked receiver. Heel stamped Poly Tech M14s do bring a premium and all Chinese M14s are excellent rifles to build on.

Some one them (I have a book somewhere) had good heat treating and others not very good, but the good ones are VERY good!

Take it out and shoot it and if you like it keep it. The rifle I have is a great shooter and for the few modifications I made to it was a very good investment.

I highly recommend a GI bolt conversion if you plan to shoot it often.
This can be done without replacing the original chrome lined barrel.

If you don't replace the bolt, check your headspace often with NATO gauges.
    Better safe than sorry.
