I have a 9422 serial #619###. It is 95%+ condition. The only issue with it is I had sling swivel studs added. So the stock was drilled for this. Can anyone give me a value or at least some idea of a value?

Hey Guys, its been awhile since I've been here. I have a program I put
on my computer to log all my firearms. I started to collect Winchesters
    as a hobby. I have a model 9422 XTR 22mag and the serial # is F539299.
Can anyone tell me what year of manufacture it is? I have all the Madis
books and none of them have that info. I also have a Legacy with
    # F752269 in 22mag. I would really appreciate any help with this and
would like to know how you got the info. Thanks a bunch for the help.

That's a first year (1972) rifle. If it's 95%, you could probably get at least $350 on the auction side.

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!

sorry for the mis-info the serial # is F619###.this is not a first year rifle. I bought it in the late 80's early 90's new so I know it is not a 1972 model.

OK, it was made around 1990-1991. In any event, 9422's sell very well on the auction side. They took off when Winchester closed the New Haven plant.

Take a look at the closed auctions to find the actual selling price of one like yours.

    Happy New Year!
