Star 30M - 9MM - Estimated Value?

I came upon several firearms in an estate I'm working.

It looks to be in very good condition, but I haven't taken it out and looked too closely.

The warranty in the box says that it was purchased in 1988.

Any estimate of the value?

I just saw an ad in Shotgun listing M-30's for $250 and up. Gives you a starting point.

Thank you. It looks and feels like a pretty solid gun.

As it was bought in 88, I'd wonder if repair / mags would be readily available.

But - $250 (retail) seems reasonable, even if it eventually develops issues.

Thanks for all the good information.

Without looking at the mentioned auto, I don't know if it is a 30MI or not. If it is, I will say this about the Star 30 MI 9mm. There is no peer in present day pistols, for workmanship, dependability, and accuracy. My qualifications are as follows: NRA Pistol Master, 3rd place in Navy, Navy marksmanship instructor and 30 years competitive pistol shooter. Yes, Star has gone out of business, and yes some of the other models were not as good. The 30MI is heavy for concealed carry, but it is made out of honest steel and fitted together to last. It is a real 200 yd pistol.

You can definitely use it to crack a dude on the grape if he's getting lippy.

Mags can be tough to find, especially for the .40 cal version.
