Can a transfer be made between a Cal buyer and a Cal seller?
I sold my Win 9422M which has an 11 capacity tube. Is this legal in Ca?

Thanks for any help

Yes, its legal. 22 caliber rifles with tubular magazines are exempt from the 10rd limit.

    Large Capacity Firearms Magazines
    Effective January 1, 2000,
A large capacity magazine is defined as any ammunition feeding device with the capacity to
accept more than ten rounds but shall not include any .22 caliber tube ammunition feeding device,or a magazine that has been permanently altered so that it cannot accommodate more than 10
    rounds.

So long as the deal went through an FFL, DROS done, you're fine.

    Howdy johnnypuke,

Is as is as both replies above.

A little more: "So long as the deal went through an FFL, DROS done, you're fine."-- this now applies in Cally to all rifle, shotgun, handguns, where before was handguns only. Paper work, paper work, paper work.

This for Modern firearms anyways--- C&R, and 1898 and before, I do not know?

So long as +50, C & R eligible and a long gun, sale between two unlicensed individuals "face to face" is OK - no dealer needed. C & R handgun & +50 still must go through FFL.

Oddly enough, if a CA resident buys a +50 C & R eligible long gun from an FFL he still has to wait 10 days. Unless he has a C & R FFL and COE - then he can cash & carry (C & R) long gun and handguns.
