camp 45acp trouble

i picked up this camp 45acp a few months back and it worked flawless.

i changed out the buffer (did the same in my camp 9) and have not been able to go try it out yet but i was messing around with it the other night and i jams while hand feeding it with all Mag's colt and non brand, after looking at it ,it looks like the feed ramp is not right .looks to me the barrel is too far in.

any one have a camp 45 that can look at there gun to see if my pic looks like your gun's feed ramp.

rounds tried were
45acp ball
45acp hp
45acp swc
none would feed by working the bolt action no matter how fast you tried to let it go.

I don't have my Camp 45 anymore, but looking at your pictures, it looks like the barrel is too far back.
It may be from looking at the angle that there is a barrel extention and it is turned. It looks like there is a feed ramp over to the left side. That tab that shows at the top might have to be over that way.

    Fixed it[:p]

After lots of searching and not finding anything i went back to sq 1.

it worked before i took it apart so the trouble must be in there somewhere.[8]

after taking it apart 3 times i finally saw that the feed ramp is spring loaded (it pivots back and forth) BINGO.[:0]

you have to push the ramp in some while sliding the housing into place.

after this it works on all MAG'S and all types of ammo.[8D]

after one INTERNET post I FOUND said the CAMP 45 is IDIOT PROOF.[:0]

SO IF ALL ELSE FAILS ==== TAKE IT BACK APART

THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSE TO LOOK

AT LEAST now if someone else has this trouble it will be here to find out how to fix it.

    ^^^

You beat me to it - the Camp 9 is the same way, feed ramp pivots on a pin with spring and has to be deliberately placed in front of the barrel. I'm kind of surprised you got the take down pins in with the ramp out of position.

pins went in OK they were in on the other side , i read somewhere they were suppose to come out on the right side not that i can see why they are just roll pins with no head. first noticeable problem i came upon was the mag was a little hard to go in , i just passed that off as a mag problem but I'm guessing it might have something to do with the ramp placement,
(thing with this is the tightness was in the lower section not the top were the feed lip is).

I'm just GLAD it is back to working[:p]

My wife bought one for my 35th birthday in 95. I too did that but, the instructions do describe how to, quite well, if you read it. I think you can get a manual from Marlin if you write/ email them.
