I bought one from a friend, all black, with one magazine. He says it holds 12 but darned if I can't get more than 11 into it. Also the grip safety is not a beaver tail. It kind of almost curves down. Does that sound right? I plan to get some mags and wondered if anyone else had the same problem. Thanks

That's normal for para mags. It took a while untill I could get 14 in my P-14 mags.
The earlier ones didn't have a beavertail.

I have a P-12 and a P-14. Both will hold the appropriate number of rounds. Use a mag loading tool to get the 12th in and leave it loaded for a month.

Thanks. I was wondering why it wouldn't go in. I love your statement about political correctness. I deal with it every day

What would one call the type of safety it has? It comes out further than an standard mil spec, seems "hinged" and kind of curves down. What is ironic is the guy who sold it, a friend, said it didn't fit his hand but, with the type of grip safety, it fits mine perfectly
