Trubo Tax Problem

Managed to get a Trojen Horse in my TurboTax program. Back at the computer shop for the second time to get rid of it. Removed it with my virus software but it kept coming back. This is the only program that it seems to be affecting. Could this be a software specific virius? Seems to come back every time I uninstall and reinstall the program to get it working again but only after I download the updates. Frustrating because I am almost done with my taxes. Did daughters simple return a couple of weeks back with no problem.

More likely, I would think, is its not being thoroughly cleaned at the computer shop, or reinfected elsewhere....

Its "Trojan horse" and "Turbo Tax". This is also a gun forum, so the depth of the experts here might be a little more limited, than say, if you were to ask about malfunctions with a 1911 pistol!
To try and address your question, I don't see how its going to be possible to help you with your virus problem without a lot more information. (Operating system, specific virus detected, symptoms of virus, anti-virus software in question, etc).
What I can say is that ordinary versions of "Turbo Tax" can set off certain types of anti-virus software. In other words, the anti-virus software THINKS that your normal Turbo-tax program contains a virus, even though it isn't strictly true.
I also strongly doubt that a legitimate copy of Turbo Tax from the manufacturer would contain any sort of virus or trojan horse program.
You might try contacting the publisher of "Turbo Tax" with your exact issue and see what they say. If indeed its a "false positive", they are likely to be aware of the issue already and could help you out.
