Webley Mark I

I recently became the proud owner of a Webley Mark I. The gun is in great shape, very clean and has not been modified. Anyone have an idea of it's value? They seem pretty rare so finding information has been tough.

Thanks!

I need some help with my Webley Mark I. Serial #30748. I believe it is a carry over from Europe as there are no import stamps such as "England" on it. The handle/grip has been altered as I believe the handle is made of ivory. Also there is no ring at the base of the handle/butt. There are several stamps on the gun. Including: "BP" "WD" "B9" "VR" ".455" ".760" "6 TONS" and several crowns and swords. Anyone know what all those mean?? Also a former owners name has been lightly inscribed on the metal between the cylinder and the butt. What sort of value can I put on it??

"has not been modified" = Cylinder not shaved for use with .45 Auto ammo? (Are there still marks on rear edge and face of cylinder?)

hrf, the cylinder face has matching proof marks on it, such as the crown and arrow, that are on the frame. Thanks for the tip on the other other forum!

I have a Mark II that looks almost new that dates to 1893. It is 38 S&W.

I figure it being worth about $1100.

Is your MK II a .38? The small bore MK IIs are among the rarest of standard Webley break tops.

This paticular webley is a Mark I and is a .455 caliber.

I think Joel meant the one MBK shows.
