What model is this Marlin 30-30

I can't find any numbers except serial for this, it's a carbine but not sure of the model, serial says it was manufactured in 1952.

Any one know any info by the pictures.

    The picture in my reference is almost identical, except it doesn't have the white spacer under butt plate. It's identified as the Model 336 Sporting Carbine.

    Would that be the same as the 336A Carbine? 20" instead of 24" barrel.

    I believe the A designagtes a "hardwood" rather than walnut stock. Usually birch. This is the budget version usually sold in the loss leader sales at places like Big 5.

    He Dog - I was referring to the old Model 336A, made from 1948-1963.

    nshunter - I there are no markings on the barrel, I would guess it has been rebarreled or someone polished the marking off when rebluing it.
