Help Id-ing a strange old musket pistol

Hi,
I am trying to identify this pistol for a friend and have no idea where to even start. The musket looks to be very old. The pick/ball part and the hardware looks to be brass. Even the inliad design looks to be brass. The barrel is pretty rough. If you have any idea of it's origin, age, or even what it is called or used for, I woudl sure appreciate the information. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

MY WAG is mid eastern in origin and by how crude the castings are, made for tourist trade. I have seen similar one while in Turkey. I don't think this was ever made to be a shooter. Tom

I agree with TCCCOX wall hanger not old not safe to shoot.

Maybe thats where my wife got the idea to use the but but of my old
S&W for a hammer. LOL.

Have one similar here. Like tccox said, middle eastern trade pistol. The one I have doesn't even have a breechblock in it.

Yours looks like it has an original old lock and barrel made up as a tourist trap item as others have stated. Most don't have any old original parts, total fakes. An old lock like yours might sell for $50-75 for parts, barrel about the same if it is real and good enuf for someone to use in a project piece.
