Is Colt still doing repairs on their guns?

I would like to send a Colt pistol in for repairs, does anyone know if Colt is still doing warranty and repair work?
Thanks

I was on a web site yesterday that had 4-different models of the 1911, new, one was a Gold Cup going for eight hundred fifty. If they are selling them then they have to warranty them, find a dealer who is selling them and he sould be able to point you in the right direction. I can't remember were I was on the net, just do some searches as if you were looking for a purchase. I have seen new Colts for sale at In Sight shooting range in Norwalk, California.

    Good Luck

Colt only has parts for guns currently in production; they made a business decision NOT to inventory parts for older guns.

Unless you have a local dealer willing to ship it for you without a charge for his services, you may be better off just paying to have it repaired locally. The only way YOU can ship a handgun to Colt is by Fedex or UPS Next Day Air, which will cost $50-60 one way.
