Franchi bbl model indentify Help

So I have acquired this bbl for a Franchi shotgun. It is for a 12 ga 2.75" and is marked full. On the left side it say LUIGI FRANCHI BRESCIA, Made in Italy. On the right side it says IMPORTED BY STOEGER ARMS CORP. HACKENSACK N.J. CHROME MOLY STEEL It is 28 inches long, vented and has 3 gas holes in the mag ring. I sure hope these pictures turn out so someone can please tell me what model it fits. It is going to be put up for auction but I want to know what it fits first. It is not for a 48, I am almost certain. It looks like a 1100 bbl. Thanks to the most knowledgeable guys around.

I have the gun you are talking about It is a Franchi 48 I belive not a 100% on the model . My dad bought it for me in 1977 the day I was born excelent gun. It is Franchi's Autoloader from that time period. They are still made today under the Franchi name but I think they have screw in chokes instead of having to replace the whole bbl. Looks a little rusty I bought a bbl in the 80's for this gun for around $150 new so you are probably looking at less then a bill for the condition that it is in.

That barrel is not for a 48AL. 48AL's are long recoil guns and do not have gas ports.

Thanx 22 now you tell me what it fits. This is drivin me nuts. Somebody has to know what it fits for sure. I dont want to advertise it on auction for something and it is wont work. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP. STEVE

who sold it to you?[?]

fyi, the only franchi's that were gas guns were the model 500 and 520.
odds are its a field grade, so we're talking about a circa 76 to 1980 model 500 bbl.
