Have had a Winchester shotgun for 30yrs now, trying to confirm the model type. I think it is a Model 99 or 91 Field over and under single trigger. It has an all black action with no engraving, trying to get a new fore end for the gun but cannot remember the make!! Amazing what 30yrs on does for you!! Any help appreciated

I have a 16 gauge shotgun, apparently made in Germany, I need ID help. Underside of barrels has a shield with the letters S&D, underneath the letters are a pair of crossed cannon. Over the shield are the letters RECORD. Also there is a crown lying on its side with a straight line, the top of the line has 2GSCHP, under the line is 27GBI. The words Krupp-Essen. On the water table is a crown with the letter U underneath, a crown with the letter W underneath, and what appears to be a Prussian Eagle. Can any one help with this?

    Thanks

    Phil

I HAVE A SINGLE BARREL SHOTGUN THAT LOOKS LIKE A WINCHESTE MODEL 37 BUT HAS NO WINCHESTER MARKINGS. THE ONLY MARKINGS ARE TRUSTWORTHY ON THE SIDE AND 20 GA ON THE TOP OF THE BARREL. I AM THINKING THAT MAYBE WINCHESTER MADE IT AND IT WAS SOLD UNDER THIS COMPANIES NAME. GUN IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE.

I inherited an old break open double barrel shotgun. The only markings I can find on the outside are "A Field & Co, Birmingham" and
    "No. 9064".

When opened I found "G & I" (I think it is an I, it is pitted on the top if it.); "T. B & S"; "Patent No. 1723". There is also a diamond with B inside the diamond and "MARK" below that.

I was told it has a Damascus barrel.

    Appreciate any help.

Your question has already been asked and answered on Shotgun World. I'll add my response here. The gun is either a minor English name or a "Trade Brand Name" shotgun. Alfred Field & Company was a large sporting goods dealer located in London and Birmingham,England from about 1890 to 1914 and had an address in New York City from 1891 to 1900. Their addresses were
    199a Bishopgate Street Without-London 1890s
77 Edmund Street Birmingham 1891 to 1914 at least
    New York City 1891to 1900
The company was quite large and well known in its day. Based on the Birmingham address it is possible that they made some of their own guns and it is also possible that as a dealer, the had guns made with their name on them. Just to be sure, take a look at the bottom of the barrels for English proof marks which are either crossed scepters or halberds (spear/battle axe) with a crown on top and letters in the intersections.
