winchester model 50 trap

Hi

I recently purchased a Winchester Model 50 trap. It is in beautiful condition. The bluing in my opinion is perfect. The wood does have some small knicks. The action is like new. I have yet to fire it.

I been reading up on M50's in other places and would like know how people know the manufacture date. The serial number is 99047.

The Blue Book has a chapter covering the serialization/DOM of various firearms. The Winchester section lists your Model 50 as being made in 1957.
