38-55 reloading question

I was told 375 and 38-55 dies are the same. is this true?

    Not quite. The .38-55 case is about .110" longer than the .375 Winchester. You could, no doubt, load .38-55's with the .375 dies but you probalby would not be able to crimp .375's with the .38-55 seater die. I have a .38-55 and both .375 and .38-55 die sets (because they came with the rifle when I bought it), but I've just used the .38-55 dies. You could think of it as using .38 Special dies to load .357 Magnums.
