I have a case of unopened Carbine M1 CAL .30 ammo in cartons from WWII that I am trying to find the value on. The side of the wooden case is stamped with the following:
1600 Cartridges CAL .30 in Cartons
T1CAJ Carbine M1
Small Arms Ammunition
59WT LOT PC 26297
Repacked EC-9-44
Can anyone provide any information on this case or an estimated value?
Thanks.
Bryan

"Here's an example, $1.30 per round for Greek 30-06.".............WHICH YOU CAN BUY DIRECT FROM THE CMP FOR $.30/RD.
Those days are long gone, Mike.
Currently the Greek in enblocs is $ .50/RD, and boxed is $ .49/RD. Last time I bought, they were enforcing a 1,000 round per year limit as well.
Regarding the OP:
I would think you would get much better than .50 per round on the auction side, particularly, as noted previously if it is a sealed container. I would bid more than that, anyway.
