Has anyone out there used a .22 conversion with a Para GI Expert? I'm looking at purchasing my first 1911A1 (looking at the GI Expert) but I'd like to be able to also purchase and use a .22 conversion with it. Thanks!

Hello, and welcome to the forums here on Gunbroker.com
I have a Para-Ordnance S-14 Limited, and have the Ciener Platnum conversion, with adjustable sights for mine. It works very well, and you shouldn't have no problems either. It might need a brick of 22's thru it to break it in though. It is pretty accurate for what it is too.

Thanks for the reply. That's good news which I am happy to hear.
I have a GI expert also & went to the Ciener web site. Did not see the GI expert listed in the Para conversions. Would the S14 conversion be the same as the GI?
All 1911's have the same frame rails...thats why the US armories could piece them together from a box of parts. you have to get the one for the Colt, as you have a single stack.

Mine fits everything except Springfields for some reason.
I completely agree with you about Ciener. He is a horrible person. On the other hand he makes a good product. I solved my dilemma by buying a used Ciener kit. That way I wasn't giving him any new money.
