finding parts for 22cal winchester model 55

i am working on a winchester model 55 22 cal,customer said the action slide was not workingwhen i opened the rifle up i found the action slide spring missing, dos anyone know where i can find parts for this rifle. i know there were only 45100 made. thanks for any help you can offer.

    try bobs gun parts or jack first parts

    thanks 260,have tried jack frist and bobs.am going to try wisners inc po box 58 adna wa 98522. 1- 360-748-4590. i offer this info to you because as you know in gunsmithing trade parts supply houses are getting fewer and fewer,thanks again for your help.

    Can't you just make one ? Coil springs are fairly easy to fabricate . Flat Springs are harder to duplicate !

    Those are the neatest little gun ! I have a friend that has one in pristine condition ! A semi automatic single shot , working the bolt automaticly engages the Safety ! I have a Model 490 Winchester .22 that my friend would trade for , but they only made 32,000 of those !

    Try Wolf gun springs or Brownells once you get the dimensions for the spring. They sell packages of assorted springs that are over sized that can be cut to any desired length.

    I'll go visit him this afternoon , he owes me some money anyway . He's kind of a cantancerous old fart but maybe I can talk him into taking his gun apart !

    I have a 55 parts gun in a bag somewhere, I'll dig it out when I can.
    If it has the spring, I'll see if I can duplicate it, or at least give you the specs from it.
