It seems that the 6.8 is rather finicky about accuracy loads. My AR platform likes the Hornady V-max and a near max load of H335, it sprays the 90 gr. jhp all over the paper. I've heard similar stories from other 6.8 shooters. So it just takes the time to dial in what the rifle likes. Can't comment on the mini-6.8 being hard on scopes, but I can't see why it would be and the mini-14 and mini-30 wouldn't.

please excuse my ignorance.im new to the shooting game.what i have heard is that the forward action of the mini 14 slams hard after chambering the next round and that a shock resistant scope should be used.any scoped mini 14 shooters out there that can comment on this?
