The Remington 788?? Does anyone know of a major manufacturer that produces a base that will work with Leupold Ring, or even their own combination of rings and bases for the Rem 788 in 308? I found a company called Conetrol that makes them, but they are pretty pricey... Thanks!

I have the Redfield on my 7-08 carbine. I usually don't go with a one piece mount because I don't like the "connecting" length between the front and rear running over the open top of the bolt. Just looks out of place, not a clean look. But the 788 has a very closed type top and the one piece looks fine.
