Ok fella's here it is. Need to replace the roll pin that holds the trigger guard assembly in place. Just want to make sure that this requires some gentle tapping from a brass hammer before I go tearing up stuff. Let me know AR experts.

Those 2 little "wings" that protrude from the frame that the pin goes thru are somewhat fragile. Make sure you have something behind them when tapping the pin into place. Its easy to break them if not careful.

In addition to supporting the wings (aluminum doesn't bend it breaks) I always lightly file the pin, just enough to remove the bluing. Thins it just a touch, makes it snug & tight to tap in as opposed to a bit of a worrisome pain to hammer in. A little oil helps too.

Isn't this pin slotted, meaning not a complete circle? I believe you can pinch it just a bit before attempting to drive in to decrease the circumfrence just a bit. Support those ears!!!
