Compared to other AR platforms, is it good? Is it high quality? upper med quality? I have the chance to purchase one brand new at a screaming rate. What are the reviews on it? Thanks!

Anyone have experience with these ar rifles? Is it a good entry level firearm? Thanks

    They're decent rifles.

I realize you say it's new, but any idea how long ago it was manufactured? S&W has phased in/out use of other manufacturer's stuff on these rifles since their introduction.

What's the ballpark on this screaming deal?

$830 brand new. MOE model flat dark earth with troy sights.

    Thanks!

I dont personally care for the MOE hand guard, A quality aluminum railed hand guard is much more stable.

here is a 15X, which is in my opinion a decent deal at around 950.00- 1000.00

Is it an overall gun for the price? I like the MOE stock. Gives it a clean look with rails. If I wanted to I can even change out the foreend eventually. But as a basic firearm in an AR platform, is it good? I have never had an AR and this will be my first. Gives me a platform I can work on to get use to it. Then I will eventually build another one.
830+40 for shipping and another 35 for transfer fee. I think its a pretty good deal. I will be just shy of 1k and I will have a dcent ar (from what I have been reading but I would rather have experiance than literature).

Thanks for the help so far!
