Greetings and salutations, any experts here that can explain to me how to remove the barrel from the shroud of brit sten mk2. I see what cant be a cross pin on the barrel but the vent holes dont go down far enough to punch it out. Barrel is far to pitted to be usable. I unscrewd the shroud off but thats as far as i can go with it, its a parts kit.

You have to drill out the twelve or so rivets and the use a torch to melt the solder between the trunnions and reciver tube then drive the barrel and trunnions out through the front. The forward trunnion is welded to the barrel.

Edit: Nevermind, I misread. I thought you said Mk3. The above is the 3, as for the 2, I don't know.

I found a picture of the pin in the barrel with the shroud setting next to it. It looks like the pin installs through the shroud and through the top of the barrel. Like I said if you would like the manual I have with the parts of the rifle layed out so you can see were the pin is located contact me. I have built only Mk III rifles the link below will get you too people who have built the Mk II rifles and answer your question about getting the pin out.

    Added:

The exact location of the pin hole is 30.5 + 20.5 from the rear of the barrel forward at the top of the barrel. I don't know weather the measurement above is MM or inches.
