Anyone know who could copy some plastic target grips in wood for me? These are the grips I need copied, the ones with the single screw hole.

He Dog, thanks for the link, but it's the same ol problem, they'll make customs for 1911's or SAA clones, but nothing really "custom"!
This is for a High Standard Model B with a set of plastic target grips by W. Murad. I'd settle for someone that could copy them in plastic by injection molding, IF I could find someone.

Wouldn't think this would be too difficult....there are machines that can laser scan the old grip then CNC mill a copy out of most any material. Dentists making crowns have been doing this for some time. Check with Kim Ahrends, his grips are all made with CNC equipment.

If you have any interest in DIY, and have the old grips for patterns, you can easily get the materials to make a set of molds and then cast new grips using polyurethane resin. That's how I make masters for my duplicator, the resulting grips would be usable as cast.

There is a board member, ClintF, who makes pistol/revolver stocks and knife scales but I don't know how he is on copies. He hasn't posted for a while, and his profile says his occupation is military, so I don't know if he can still be contacted, but you could try an eMail through his profile page. He made these ivory stocks and scales for me and I'm very happy with them.

Sorry Trap, I though it might be worth asking them. Good Luck!
