dom sears model 53(win mod 70)

Please help. I purchased this rifle last week. Did not pay much and not worried about value. Strictly a shooter. Serial number 1361x Sears model 53 in .243win. As always thanks for your replies.

    There are no published serial number lists for any of the Sears (Winchester) firearms. It is not not possible to establish a DOM for them.

    The Sears Model 53 was the replacement for the High Standard manufactured Sears Model 51L. The Model 51L last appeared in the catalog in 1963 and the Model 53 first apeared in 1964. Sears dropped all gun sales in the early 1980's after dropping catalog gun sales at the beginning of 1969.
