I am looking for the history and value of a 410ga shotgun(hammerless) with a pistol handle made by Harrison & Richardson Arms Model Topper 58.

    410 is a caliber, not a gauge (it's equal to 68ga BTW).
No butt stock, only a pistol grip? Check the OAL, as you may have a "all expenses paid vacation" with Bubba in your future. See the BATFE's AOW regulations.
Toppers retail for about $100 NIB, used figure $50-75, if modified from original specs than $25-50 to the right fool person.
Search terms "H&R" "Topper" "sawed off shotgun" "AOW"

    mjames67,
H&R (read this as "Harrington & Richardson") manufactured three models that almost fit your description.
newest would be the 'topper model 058' manufactured 1975-1986 but this gun has a hammer. next would be the 'topper model 158' 1962-1974 this model also has a hammer. and the last is the 'model no.3 hammerless' manufactured 1925-1942. the last one is a ture hammerless design that is striker fired, cocks when the action is opened. the 410 version was manufactured in both standard size and small frame models. this is a very rare gun while the first two are common

there was a single shot hammerless shotgun manufactured by a harrison arms co. it was a comerical version of the gun called the 'Phillipino guerilla gun'. it was crudely made & finished and was very unsucessful.

all of these guns originally came with a fullsize 'pistol gripped butt stock' and would only have a 'pistol handle' if altered.
