I am looking to buy a 270 wsm. I am thinking about the Savage or the Tika. Which is the most accurate? Is the 270 wsm a good shooter?

I am new to this forum, so if I am not posting correctly let me know.
I plan on reloading some 270 WSM shells with 150 gr. sst bullets. I have all the componets I need except I got standard large rifle primers instead of mag.large rifle primers. Will the standards work? Some sites say yes will others reccomend the mag. primers. Any info would be appreciated. I have had this rifle since Dec. and have not fired it yet. I want to roll loads so I can practice a little.
Thank you
In the case of your 270WSM, I think you got two or three good leads.
If you don't get your answer in ten replies, just re-post as you did here.
cough cough **small-base dies, man. That's your solution** cough cough.

Best.
A small base die (SBD) is intended for use on ammunition to be used in auto, semi-auto, and lever action rifles so that the loaded round chambers and extracts easily. The SBD sizes the case from the shoulder to the head of the case a couple of thousandths smaller than a full length sizer die. In certain calibers it also sets the shoulder of the case back a thousandth or two more than the full length sizer die.
Therefore, in your case, the cartridge case could be hanging on the shoulder and/or the base. Sounds like the Browning rifle has a chamber cut to minimum tolerances (or close to it) and the Lee die is not quite resizing enough to get the casing back to within chamber tolerances.
The SBD can also be obtained from:
