Yes ATf I do have experience with Taurus.A friend bought a used 357 revolver S&W clone sat down next to me at the range to try some different loads,my 586 that I was doing the same with took out the X ring at 25 yds. His Taurus left a pattern, like he had shot buckshoot. We tried every load we had with no difference, even me shooting his gun.His next purchase was aTaurus in 17 hmr, revolver also, about the size of raging bull.It had a red dot sight,it also patterned at 25 yds.Found out later the original owner used it on his trap line only because he could hit nothing with it at over 10 ft.Third purchase for my freind was a Taurus 1911 he bought to shoot bowling pins.We shoot pins at 25 ft his first 5 shots missed all 5 pins, he leaned on the door frame and took careful aim at each pin on his second try and got the 2nd pin only. He said not bad considering I was shooting at the 3rd pin.Sat down to try it on paper and got a fantastic 12.2 in group. He brought the gun back to the dealer who did not beleive him and took it out back and shot a 13 in group. My friend did get his money back on the 1911,the list of things stated by Taurus where oversize chamber, loose link, sloppy barrel. All 3 guns were POS,and I find it hard to beleive that 1 person is the only man in the world to get a bad Taurus. There has to be a whole lot more out there. On the hearsay part I read on here someone saying what a great warrantee Taurus has, their gun had been back 2 or 3 times for repair absolutly free,I think I would rather have my gun with me than in the mail somewhere. And that is my experence with Taurus.I never owned one of my own but did shoot the 3 my friend had,all 3 where were junk.

I have a Taraus PT-92AF with about 8,000 or so rounds through it. It is the most negelected, abused and maltreated firearm I own. It also shoots very accurately and has never once failed to feed.

    Go figure.

Yes ATF I do have 1911's Para-Ordiance,SA,Kimber and A 1942 Remington-Rand. I also shoot my sons les baers Colts,Kimber and a couple tha t another builds.I also shot the Taurus that I mentioned above. So yes I do have 1911's.I don't know anyone that shoots that has had a problem with a 1911 except for the above mentioned Taurus,And in the course of our pin matches we shoot thousands of rounds with some very good scores in the low 3 second range.

After playing for about 3 hours with the one my friend bought I would have to be dumber than dirt to buy one and my momma didn't raise dumb.I take by your question, if I don't own one I am not qualified to bash one. I think 3 hrs of trying every thing poosible to get the gun to actually hit something qualifies me.

I've had several Tauri, and have been pleased with the functioning and accuracy of them all.
