I need to sell a Colt SAA in .357 Magnum. It is a 1st generation, made in 1938. The serial number is correct, except for the grips. It has the correct grips, but they are not numbered to the gun. I cannot find any reference to tell me it's value. I understand the .357s are rare, but the Blue Book does not mention them specfically.

I would like to know the value of a Colt single action Frontier Scout 22 LR revolver with a 4 3/4" barrel. It is in good shape but the blueing is worn on the barrel. I have had it for a long time and would like to know what it is worth.
    Serial #49xxxF condition 75%
    Manufactured in 1959

"Picked up"? You mean, you were walking along the street, & it was just lying there on the sidewalk? So, you were able to just pick it up? Man, some people have all the luck! The rest of us usually have to PAY for our guns.

But, I'm not familiar with that model. There is a SILVER Stallion I'm familiar with. So, maybe you'd better post a photo so we can see exactly what you have.

Limited production , short top on full size frame . Unfired worth more than it is now, limited production items have their prices go up and down due to supply and demand.

If with all original factory items , papers , box, manual, etc. will go up in a few years

Actually, i found it in a van down by the river, and you only get lucky if you put yourself in a position to get lucky. Anyway, thanks for the help. Randy
