Obtaining a FFL

Hey Guys - I have recently pondered the idea of getting a dealer's license as a job on the side. I have read some stuff about it on the internet, but could not find a lot of useful info. Seeing as you guys are the experts, i thought i would ask you all. How do you go about getting a FFL? Is it a pain in the butt? Is it worth it? I know that I, as well as you, have a great interest in firearms and I think I would really enjoy it as a side business. Thanks.

Just curious to find out how difficult (and expensive) it is to obtain a federal firearms licence. Any comments here welcome!

An FFL can quickly turn your hobby into a chore. BATF visits and audits and state inspections. They are now hard to get (almost impossible) without a store front unless you live in a county with 5 people. Your side business may destroy your passion for firearms. Be careful.
