Question about revolver grips

Back in the day, someone used to manufacture a small black metal, then plastic version of a finger groove grip piece that you could add to the existing grips of a Smith & Wesson revolver. it slid inbetween the wood grips and protruded only in the front area. Does anyone know who made them and if they still sell them? Thanks in advance.
