Belgian SxS ID & Value?

I recently acquired a Belgian SxS 12 ga. with no manufacture's name. Unlike other unnamed Belgians, this appears to be of high quality. Markings on the barrel have three proof marks: Provisional black power since 1852, Black powder since 1893 & Nitro proof since 1924. There are other marks, including B with * above, upside down Q, backward P with * above and sideways Omega with 12-65 inside. Also 1K backward g 422 all under the chanbers. Choke of both barrels is 184. The forearm has detailed checkering with a push button release on the end. It is hammerless with top lever, thumb safty and double triggers. The release pin has a * engraved on the end. All large screws and the chamber end of the barrels are encircled with feather engraving. The stock is dark walnut with checkered grip. The barrels are very clean inside with minor rust and pitting on the outside.

Can anyone tell me what this gun is worth and who made it?

Fact is, the Belgians make/made some very nice guns. The problem being that an unnamed double will always be associated with the countless clunkers made there.

So... Probably your gun will never make collector status. This is to say that it's easy to collect no-name guns, but difficult to convince anyone else to be interested.

The good news is that quality will stand on its own merits. Thus, if the gun is a quality piece, it will bring a fair price. Maybe a penalty of somewhere in the 30% to 50% region if it compares favorably to a quality name.

The "12-65" signifies that it is a 12 gauge with 65mm chambers. That corresponds to 2 9/16".
We are usually warned that it is not safe or at least not recommended to shoot current standard 2 3/4" shells in older guns with shorter chambers. It is usually possible to have the chambers lengthened by that small amount if you want it for hunting.
I sold one like that for $325 the year before last to help clear a friend's estate.

I know that the previous owner hunted with it in the 70s & 80s. I test fired is yesterday with no problem using 7.5 dove loads. Just a real good kick. I tested the pattern at 10 & 20 yards with good results.
