I have decided to get a ciener kit for my beretta 92

who all have ordered them directly from ciener? any problems with the customer relations or should i try to find a dealer that carries them? what was the turn around time ordering from them?

i am going to get the extra mag as well

does the remington golden bullets work in them?

shipping and extra mag comes to $250 is this a good deal?

Thanks-
Tater

Well, it's been 12-14 years since I ordered mine directly from them. As I recall, they shipped promptly. I ordered the extra mag. for mine also and I think at that time I paid ~$230 shipped. Can't say anything for the Remington Golden ammo as I can't remember ever shooting any. My kit is for my 1911. Emery

I have one for a 1911. About one of ten rounds would fail to extract. It did not like hollowpoint bullets. Accurate. Fun.

You might try Midway as Ciener has been slow in shipping. Price will be about the same. Mine works good on my 1911 also.

I bought my .22 kit for my Bushmaster direct from Ciener and it was pretty quick that I got it.

Ceiner used to offer units with a "fast delivery" promise at a $20.00 premium. That kind of ticked me off, but I bought the Platinum Plus and have no complaints, so long as I feed it ammo it likes. Usually CCI HV.
In the end I picked up a Marvel. Like the rear sights better but accuracy and functioning of the Ceiner are comparable on my 1911.Don't know if Marvel makes a unit for the Beretta.
When I figure out how to properly post for sale I'll be selling my Ceiner for $200.00. You might want to go to Marvel's web site and ask about used units. Even though it's Marvel and not Ceiner, you'll find an active and informative bunch of guys talking about all the conversion units. A great place for info and sales leads.
    Good luck.

I ordered one for a 1911 from Brownells and it came immediately. I was rebuilding an old gun that took some TLC to get the gun working properly. When I got it debugged I fired 300 rounds without any problem, using cheapie ammo $9.95 a brick. Accuracy is not what I had hoped but for plinking it is OK. If I want accuracy I will use something else such as my old K22.

I laid my .22 ciener 1911 up a few weeks and the tried it again and it had a lot of feed problems. I took it apart and gave it a good cleaning. The ciener in my gun at least is sensitive to being clean and well lubricated.

Brownell customer relations is excellent in my experience.

I got a conversion for my Browning HP from Ciener and it took about 4-5 months. Seems to work ok so far.

    Aloha Tater...

I have two, one for my Glock and one for my Commander. the sight is a little off on the Commander, but they function. It took Jon about a month to ship them. Get an extra mag or two.

I purchased one directly from Mr.Ciener himself in 2001 at the spring machinegun shoot in Kentucky. Actually i purchat two platnum plus conversions, one for a standard gov't 1911, and the other for a 14/45 Para. After a 200-300 rounds of getting them loosened up, they function flawlessly. I can frequently hit bowling pins at 100 yards. I use the cheap, federal ammo that used to be $8.88 for a bulk box of 550 rounds at Wal-Mart. Some of the toys Mr.Ciener has are incredible!

First off, I do not have one and I have never bought one. The info I get is from buddies that have or have tried them.

I would not purchase anything from anyone that would not accept a credit card. Especially something that costs several hundred dollars and may need good customer support. It is my understanding that Ciener is "less than enthusiastic" about supporting customers once the product has left his shop and absoloutly refuses to take one back if it does not work on your gun.
If I were going to purchase one, I would buy it from Brownell's or Midway if they have them. That way, if it does not work correctly you have a recourse.
Just what I have gleaned from my friends.
    Hank
