I have a Stevens model 520 with a 32 inch barrel and was wondering if this is a somewhat rare barrel length for this model. I have seen a lot of the 520's on our host Gun Broker but all were 30 inch or shorter. Any info is always appreciated.

I have a Stevens 520 12 Ga. shotgun with a shortened barrel. There is a cross hatch (tick tack toe) mark on the barrel and receiver. I would like to know what this mark means and any other information available on the model 520.

    Thanks

Had one in 16, years ago. They were designed and patented by John Browning, in the very early 1900's. They were in production by both Stevens & Savage, ( after they bought Stevens ), for many years, i.e. a trench gun configuration/version was made for the U.S. during W W II. Unless you have one of the original military trench guns thats factory original, in at least very good condition, there not worth a heck of a lot of money.
