does anybody know where I can get 32 cal. centerfire cases I have tried all the 32 colts and s&w and they won't chamber this is the second gun that I have had that would not chamber the colt or s&w even though I have heard that they should chamber. The rimfires shoot fine but I was hoping to get some centerfires without having to thin the rims down on the colts

What gun is it? It should be either rim or center fire, not to say that you couldn't modify it somehow... and what caliber is it supposed to take?

Have a chamber cast done, so that chamber & bore dimensions can be determined. Buy reloading dies and brass if possible , and start rolling your own.

you need .32 short colt or .32 long colt... ..32 Colt new police is the same as .32 s&w (colt couldn't stand to put S&W on thier ammo)

Hello I had one of these great rifles and MIKE is correct what you need is the 32 SHORT COLT or 32LONG COLT the only place you will find these is at a large gun-show or places that sell obsolete ammo Wally world or Dicks sporting goods will not have them they have not been made for years .if you save the cases you can reload them the bullet is standard 32 Cal but the case is smaller in diameter then a 32 S&W

EDIT OK little gun my rifle worked finewith both types of ammo. Does the colt load in your loading tube.? the barrel may have been replaced I would think that if your rim clearance was this tight you might get a slam fire when using Rim-fire ammo[xx(][:(!][V] I know what I would do if mine check with headspace gage or remove barrel and take enough off the face of barrel for it to work with centerfire ammo. The firing pin has plenty of reach to fire the rim fire with lots of extra headspace. Your Mileage may vary

I have tried the short colt from some of the reading I have been doing the rim on the colt is a little thicker and it works in some guns and not in others

I shoot 32 Colt in my 1891 2nd var. and also reform 32 S&SW to 32 LC. I have both bullets and brass as well as some 32 CF and LC ammo. Send me a private email for more information.
