M1 Carbine Magazine

I posted a prior thread about my M1 Carbine not feeding correctly. It had worked when I first got it (Fulton Armory) but began to not feed correctly. It turned out that the magazine had spread out and was not holding the round down. In the vice and all is good for the moment. I suspect it will just do it all over again. I would like to get a WW II mag but they are all 15 rounds or more and I live in California (no - I'm not going to move and I don't want to risk the complications of bringing one in)
So does anyone know of a good after marked magazine or someone that can cut down a 15 round to 10?
Just looked on the forum - anyone know about Pro Mag magazines? Any good?
